My heart is very still right now. It feels like the calm before a great storm. Many want to stay asleep, saying, "No one knows the day and hour of His return," but fail to hear His many commands to "Keep watch!" And so I have found myself arising before dawn several mornings this week, just looking out at the sky, and listening for that Still Small Voice that will bring instruction.
Most know by now about the remarkable signs YHVH is about to place in the skies, with total lunar eclipses on the first nights of Passover and Tabernacles, both this year and next. These "tetrads" or series of four blood-red moons last occurred in 1492, 1948 and 1967 - all extremely significant years in the history of the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. Each of these years brought great persecution and upheaval, but then mighty supernatural victories and expansion of borders! This is what I feel sure the God of Israel will do again (as He has done before). I believe the fulfillment of Psalm 83 is just on the horizon, and we should continue to pray this Psalm back to the Father as His Word is sent forth into the earth to be accomplished. If there is a soon-coming war in the Middle East, then pray for His supernatural intervention and pray that the "West Bank" no longer refers to the Jordan River, but rather to the Euphrates River, as the tribes of Israel regain their covenant land! If you desire more information on the eclipses, there is an excellent book out by Mark Biltz entitled Blood Moons. The link is here: http://www.elshaddaiministries.us/topics/eclipses.html
It is also a very significant time, of course, because it is almost the Feast of the Passover and Unleavened Bread. Remarkably the calendars are in "unity" this time and so April 14 will also be Nissan 14. To me personally, it feels like these things are no coincidence -- the heart of YHVH so greatly desires to bring His people into unity, and on our trip to Israel we were awed by the first glimpse of the restorative work He is doing to bring the two parts of His family together again.
Restoration requires forgiveness. We are restored and reconciled to God through the shed blood of Messiah Yeshua, who made atonement for our sins. We are restored and reconciled to our brothers and sisters when we forgive and are forgiven. These days of preparation for the Passover and Unleavened Bread are days of truly examining ourselves to remove the "leaven" (or sin) from those deep recesses of our hearts - those little "crumbs of bread" that may be rotted offenses and bitterness, buried from long ago. We want it all out! This is a critical year for changing old mindsets and attitudes and seeking a higher path of righteousness.
Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast - as you really are. For Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Feast, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with unleavened bread, the bread of sincerity and truth (1 Corinthians 5:7-8).
Be blessed in your keeping of the Feast and remember to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Yeshua, our Sar Shalom, is the only Peace!
